I was thinking about adventure games the other day and suddenly wondered what Grim Fandango would look like if it had a more classic style. So I played around in paint for a while and made this as a start. What do you guys think? I’m not quite sure if it’s right but I like it so far. Also I couldn’t decide between the gray or beige shadow, or whether you should be able to see some of the back of his head.

When they finally re-release this on steam, they have GOT to make that the game icon

I love this! And after much consideration (minutes!!) my favorite is the middle version, I like the warmer shadows, it fits the tone of the game better. I would love to see some more fanart in this vein, I used to do pixel art many moons ago.
