I’ve always really enjoyed point and click adventures and recently I have been watching the Double Fine Adventure pretty closely. So when the Global Game Jam 2013’s theme was “Heart Beat” I knew I could make an awesome point and click adventure out of it. So after spending 48 hours straight writing a point and click adventure engine in XNA from scratch (I only left the San Francisco jam locations building once in 48 hours), we mostly finished it. We were a team of 2 artists, and 2 programmers.

It’s mostly because of DFA that I decided to make this. There are more screenshots at the Imgur album. http://imgur.com/a/dyVlk and a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsI-9S-XgD0

Totally downloaded this!

I see that it’s possibly an uncompleted version?

I was able to get through despite the voice over not being there and even found what would be an end or maybe just a beginning?

Will the completely version be coming out?  This was pretty awesome work for 48 hours.

Oh, it looks like you downloaded the version from the GGJ website. The version at the end of the 48 hours didn’t have the dialog we recorded fully integrated. So we submitted our game and then spent a little bit of time right after the jam to finish integrating the dialog. I uploadead it again with the dialog, and I’m considering updating the GGJ version but I really like that it’s in the state at the end of the 48 hours. http://entitygames.net/files/Memory.zip

Maybe I’ll add an alternative upload so both are there. The end of the game is basically finding the wife. We didn’t have time to expand past that point since we were making a point and click engine from scratch during the 48 hours.

Played the voide over version and really nice work.

Just wondering if this is also incomplete?

Is it supposed to just end with the “discovery” but have no voice over or end screen?  The art and concept is so great, I’d love to see you and a team expand and see where you can take this further.
