I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream (For Vengeance)

Look, here’s the deal. There has been no offical announcement of anything, so I can’t talk about the new game yet!

No one said anything about pictures, though…

O Mighty Tim, Thou Art So Secretive.

Awesome album, and awesome game (in the title).

We feel for ya, Tim.

Poor Tim, wants to talk so bad.

Ooh, how fancy… Wings, wings are cool. Especially if they are black and protruding from the back. How mysterious, Screenshots and album covers are remarkable! But does Eddie hide a dark secret behind those wings of his?

Rob Halford in a video game made by Tim Schafer. That fortune cookie was right!

It is a breath of fresh air to see a game centered on rock-n-roll during an era of ... I should say it but I have to be politically correct.  Thank you Double Fine.

»Sad Wings of Destiny«… Isn’t that the CMI-font?

“Look, here’s the deal. There has been no offical announcement of anything, so I can’t talk about the new game yet!”

Hmmm, and yet you can talk about not being able to talk about said game… Just how far does this bit of legal legerdemain extend?  What sort of head-bangingly-bad-ass features of the game are you also prohibited from talking about?

Hey guys, I think Tim’s trying to tell us something ... I think he might be working on a new game!

Posted by Will on 10/16 at 07:04 AM

Wow, well that makes three of us who remember that game (I have no mouth and I must scream). Me, Tim and the guy above.

Not that you really want to remember it, it wasn’t great.

Incidentally Tim, I’m going away on Saturday to a remote part of the world that doesn’t have internet, so if you could announce the game before then, preferably with a few ideas, concepts, gameplay mechanics and screenshots, I would really appreciate it.

Well it’s worth trying.

A release date would be good too wink

This may be the best newpost ever out of everything.

Priest worship!
Harlan Ellison.
What new game?

Posted by elTee on 10/16 at 11:01 AM

Yeah I dig the subtlety here too. And to think we all thought Tim was making some kind of rock and roll game! I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream 2, I look forward to you sir.

Why can’t you talk Tim? Who is holding you back from telling us about your great new game.

Heavy [Pee-pee, potty, poo-poo!] Metal! Rawk!

So your game will have angels. In hell.

I am pleased.

I just wanna say that the trailer is totally awesome. The Mob Rules, indeed.

I can’t wait until YOU can actually talk about it, Tim. Many people are already talking about it and are eager to hear more from you and the awesome folks at Double Fine.

I know that you folks are probably busy on the game, but my mind has a ton of ideas for the Double Fine store and supplimental merchandise for Brütal Legend.

(Belt buckles, t-shirts, ACTION FIGURES, stickers, spike covered yo-yos, battle-axe/guitar pens, temporary tattoos, a gig bag with Brütal Legend guitar pics for the musician-gamers, and more!)

I can’t wait to melt faces.

Goodness! How delightful this album cover is!

It was NASA who stole Tim’s mouth. That is why he can not scream. He may however make akward muffled noises.

So that’s where the wings come from. Now I get it.
