December 5th 2015 ![An image from the Double Fine archive.](//assets.doublefine.com/archive/images/announcelogo_thumb.png) With the smell of burning asphalt hanging staunchly in the air we’re proud to announce that we’ll be remastering Tim Schafer’s classic LucasArts adventure game Full Throttle! Following speedily in the still-smoking-tyre-tracks of the Grim Fandango and [Day of the Tentacle](https://www.doublefine.com/games/day-of-the-tentacle-remastered) Remastered editions, Full Throttle Remastered will complete the trilogy of Tim’s games from LucasArts that we’ve been given the chance to restore. Just like those games, we will make a Remaster with the quality, care and attention to detail that can only come from involving the original creators. Full Throttle Remastered will feature all new artwork, with high resolution backgrounds and animation, with each frame being repainted by hand. We’ll be aiming to restore the sound and music to a higher quality, and we’ll also fill the game with special features like concept artwork, commentary tracks and as many other things as we can think of! Full Throttle Remastered will be coming to PC & PlayStation platforms in 2017! --- ## Tags [tim schafer](https://www.doublefine.com/search/tag/tim-schafer)[lucasarts](https://www.doublefine.com/search/tag/lucasarts)[adventure](https://www.doublefine.com/search/tag/adventure)[grim fandango](https://www.doublefine.com/search/tag/grim-fandango)[day of the tentacle](https://www.doublefine.com/search/tag/day-of-the-tentacle)[remastered](https://www.doublefine.com/search/tag/remastered)[full throttle](https://www.doublefine.com/search/tag/full-throttle) --- ## Associated games [Full Throttle Remastered](https://www.doublefine.com/games/full-throttle-remastered "Full Throttle Remastered") [Day of the Tentacle Remastered](https://www.doublefine.com/games/day-of-the-tentacle-remastered "Day of the Tentacle Remastered") [Grim Fandango Remastered](https://www.doublefine.com/games/grim-fandango-remastered "Grim Fandango Remastered") --- ## Related news [Full Throttle Remastered is out now for iOS July 20th 2017 ](https://www.doublefine.com/news/full-throttle-remastered-is-out-now-for-ios) [Full Throttle Remastered is out in April March 14th 2017 ](https://www.doublefine.com/news/full-throttle-remastered-is-out-in-april) [Full throttle Remastered: First Look Trailer December 12th 2016 ](https://www.doublefine.com/news/full-throttle-remastered-first-look-trailer) [Watch the Day of the Tentacle Remastered Trailer!
