# Thank You Bus Driver Privacy Policy

1. **Introduction**
    This Privacy Policy applies solely to Thank You Bus Driver (the "Game"), a Single Player game developed by Double Fine Productions, Inc., a California corporation ("Double Fine," "we," "us," or "our"). The Game is being distributed on a commercial basis.
2. **How the Game Is Distributed**
    The Game is distributed on Steam, Humble Store, GOG, itch.io, Epic Games Store, and Game Jolt. Double Fine does not distribute the Game through its own website, and does not require customers to create an account on any Double Fine-operated platform, and does not host game files or player data on Double Fine's own servers in connection with the Game.
3. **What Information We Collect**
    Double Fine DOES NOT directly collect, store, or process personal information from customers in connection with the Game. We do not operate a registration system, account system, or data collection mechanism of our own for the Game, and we do not knowingly receive personal information about you through your use of the Game. Because the Game uses Steamworks and Epic Online Services to provide online features such as achievements, limited technical information (such as an anonymized player or device identifier, IP address, and networking data necessary to establish multiplayer sessions) may be processed by Valve and Epic in the course of operating those services. This processing is carried out by Valve and Epic as independent service providers under their own privacy policies, available at Valve’s website here: [https://store.steampowered.com/privacy\_agreement](https://store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement), and Epic's website here: <https://legal.epicgames.com/epicgames/privacy-policy>. We encourage you to review Valve and Epic's privacy policies to understand how Valve and Epic handle data processed through Steamworks and Epic Online Services.
4. **Security of Information**
    Because Double Fine does not directly collect, store, or host personal information on its own servers in connection with the Game, Double Fine does not maintain its own database of customer personal information for the Game and there is no Double Fine-controlled system to secure for that purpose. Although no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, Double Fine will take reasonable steps within its control to ensure that any information it does receive in connection with the Game (for example, through direct correspondence with a customer) is handled appropriately and is not disclosed except as described in this Privacy Policy or as required by law.
5. **No Sale of Personal Information**
    Double Fine does not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and has no independent access to personal information collected in connection with the Game.
6. **Where the Game Is Available**
    The Game is made available globally to customers on Steam, Humble Store, GOG, [itch.io](http://itch.io), Epic Games Store, and Game Jolt, without geographic restriction.
7. **Our Cookie Policy**
    Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit our Website or use our Platform. We use the following types of cookies and similar technologies:

    2. Encryption of data at rest using industry-standard encryption;
    3. Role-based access controls and least-privilege access policies for personnel with access to personal information;
    4. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) for access to production systems;
    5. Regular security scans, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments; and
    6. Regular malware scanning.
9. **Children's Privacy**
    The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 ("COPPA") imposes requirements on operators of websites and online services directed to children under 13 years of age, and on operators of general-audience services that have actual knowledge that they are collecting personal information from children under 13. The COPPA Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 312), as amended, is enforced by the Federal Trade Commission ("FTC"). The Game is not directed to children under the age of 13. Double Fine does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and does not knowingly allow children under 13 to register for or use the Game. If Double Fine becomes aware that it has inadvertently received personal information from a child under 13, it will take prompt steps to delete such information. If you have reason to believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information in connection with the Game, please contact us at <privacy@doublefine.com> and we will promptly investigate and delete such information. If you are under 13, please do not use or access the Game. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, please review this Privacy Policy with a parent or guardian before using the Game.
10. **CAN-SPAM Act Of 2003**

Double Fine will not take any action, or omit to take any action, that would cause it or its customers to be in violation of any such laws.
