Keeper Launch Timing, Pricing, and a Dynamic Background, oh my!
We're just one week away from the launch of our newest game, Keeper! We can't wait for you to get your hands on the game and experience the journey, but before that, we've got some housekeeping to discuss. Let's jump into it...
Launch Timing
You may be wondering when Keeper will become available wherever you are in the world. We'll be dropping it worldwide at exactly the same moment, but naturally that translates to a whole load of different times. Fortunately, we have an extremely handy Launch Timing Map for your perusal!
Set your alarms, get hype (but also weird, and chill), schedule your dinner / breakfast / second breakfast deliveries, hire a sitter (baby or pet), generally get all your affairs in order so you can settle deeeeeep into your couch or chair and enjoy the journey Keeper has to offer.
Pricing
This one's short and to the point: Keeper will be available at launch for $29.99 USD, but pricing will vary based on region and platform. If you have a Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you have day one access to Keeper right at launch! Reminder: it's coming to Xbox, Windows and Steam.
Keeper Dynamic Background
We couldn't launch a game this beautiful without some extra goodies, and this one in particular we're super excited about. Starting today—right this very second, in fact—you can change your Xbox Series X|S background to a fancy Keeper Dynamic Background! Just head on over to this page on Xbox.com to learn how to find it, and enable it.
TLDR: Here's the menu path on your Xbox Series X|S consoles: Settings > General > Personalization > My Background > Dynamic Backgrounds
Try it out and let us know how you like it! Here's how it looks (warning, it might be too pretty to look away from once you lay your gaze upon it, just let the light seep into your mind):
A Note about Spoilers!
Keeper is a game with discovery and the unexpected at its heart. We've gone to great lengths to preserve as much of the mysteries within as possible, for previews, for trailers, all around.
But with just one more week to go until Keeper launches, folks will be starting to get their hands on the game for reviews, etc, and that means there might be early impressions or spoilers that break free! Eeep!
On our end we promise we won't be posting spoilers on main until way post-launch (and even then, we'll do our best to give you all some time to play through the game and let it marinate).
As you play for yourself, please do your best to be elusive when describing the game to others, and try not to spoil the experience - not everyone will get to play right on launch day.
Ashley's guide to talking about Keeper
DO: "This is the weirdest thing I've ever played and if you don't play it I'll think less of you as a cool human being." Then, do a pterodactyl screech and nod knowingly.
DON'T: "I really liked it when
REDACTEDhappened and thenREDACTED. Oh and then the part whereREDACTED?!"
But if you want to tell anyone who will listen that this game is absolutely beautiful and bonkers and needs to be experienced first hand for maximum impact...well, who are we to stop you? Expressing your thoughts in the vaguest and most mysterious ways imaginable will make us very proud.
Thank you!
