Xbox controllers on Mac (Psychonauts 2)
Issue:
My Xbox controller isn't working on the Mac version of the game
Solution:
macOS
- Early launch model Xbox controllers which did not use Bluetooth do not work.
- However, Bluetooth capable Xbox One/X controllers should work except for the <svg class="relative w-auto h-1.2em top-0.125em" width="64" height="64" title="Xbox View Button" viewBox="0 0 64 64" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg"><title>xb-view</title><g id="xb-view" stroke="none" stroke-width="1" fill="none" fill-rule="evenodd"><circle id="Oval" fill="#FFF" cx="32" cy="32" r="31"/><path d="M32 64c17.608 0 32-14.392 32-32S49.608 0 32 0 0 14.392 0 32s14.392 32 32 32m-9.885-28H12V14h26v12.371h-3.967v-8.339h-18.07v13.936h6.148zM52 50H26V29h26z" id="cross" fill="#000" fill-rule="nonzero"/></g></svg> button. This affects accessing the Journal.
- A workaround is to press the "M" key on the keyboard. Unfortunately, the journal prompt cannot be remapped to another button in-game.
If you have access to a Playstation 4/5 controller, this should work on Mac without issues.
