Gaming In Japan

Harper Jay Harper

Day of the Devs is coming to Japan. Our indie-spotlighting celebration is teaming up with BitSummit to bring fantastic and creative independent titles to their upcoming showcase in Kyoto. The three-day event kicks off later this week and (for those who can't attend live) is viewable online through BitSummit’s YouTube, TikTok, and Twitch channels. If you're in Japan and eager to experience cool games, you can view ticket information here.

BitSummit was established in 2012 as a showcase of Japanese independent creations and games. It's the perfect event for adding Day of the Devs to the mix and celebrating the connections between game developers all around the globe. Recently, Day of the Devs shared a digital showcase of games and had live demonstrations during Summer Game Fest. We're excited to keep the ball rolling and really stoked to share some of our favorite games overseas.

There's a small but lovely sampling to be had. Here's the list of game that will be featured at BitSummit in coordination with Day of the Devs.

  • Animal Well
  • Another Crab's Treasure
  • Beastieball
  • Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
  • COCOON
  • Mina the Hollower
  • Sea of Stars
  • Simpler Times

You can check out these games and more in the archived livestream above. There's going to be over 90 games total to enjoy at BitSummit! A complete list of every title can be found here. If you're in Kyoto and want something awesome to enjoy over the weekend, we'd love if you swung by and played some games!
