Our Keeper Accolades Trailer is a 10/10!
One of the scariest parts of game development happens after we hit the big red "LAUNCH" button on Vic's desk: Reviews! We never really know how people will feel about our games until they're out in the world and in hands other than ours; even though we know how we feel about it, everyone has their own experiences and opinions that we get to discover once we ship a game.
It's been almost a month since Keeper's launch on Xbox and Steam, and we're happy to report that the reviews have been, on the whole, really kind! Because we had the good fortune of such lovely words written about the game, we whipped up this fancy Accolades Trailer for your viewing enjoyment. Behold!
Some reviewers wrote some absolutely exquisite things about Keeper that made our hearts swell and our eyes water. Take Windows Central writer Zachary Boddy, for example:
At first, I wondered how Keeper would keep me entertained for its entire runtime — by the final act, I was left stunned by how skillfully Keeper evolved its gameplay to keep me engaged and further strengthen the unspoken narrative.
And then there was a wonderful review from Matt Wales at Eurogamer, who wrote things like this:
From that first big reveal to its final fade to black, Double Fine's world is one of such effervescent wonder, I don't think there was a single moment across its five-or-so-hour runtime I wasn't gawping at it in quietly stunned awe.
We even managed to receive a perfect 100/100 from The New York Times, which has only given out that score to two other games in its entire history of video game critiques!
