- DISCLAIMER -

The Psychonauts would like to inform you that this article is inaccurate and was clearly put up on this website by mistake. There is no such thing as a Hideous Hulking Lungfish of Lake Oblongata. That is only a camp legend spread around by bothersome children in the hopes of scaring the more gullible. Do not be fooled: despite Razputin’s claims, there are nothing but crayfish and other, small fish living in Lake Oblongata, let alone a mutated monster named Linda that had been mind controlled by me—-I mean, by someone. If you should come into contact with this obviously faux creature, you are advised to notify your devilishly handsome and talented Coach, Morceau Oleander, then proceed to forget about the incident among games of hackeysack and other childish folly. Perhaps your favorite TV show! You have the Psychonauts’ best assurances that our top agent will find a reasonable explanation and solution to the problem that that egghead Sasha Nein couldn’t hope to match.

I repeat, this page is a mistake and should not exist. It is only here now to inform you of this disgusting lie and keep your brains healthy, as opposed to obsessed and sickly. A sick mind couldn’t even power yourself properly, let alone an enormous brain tank designed for world wide destruction.

Enormous tanks designed for world wide destruction do not exist.

Your very best friend,
Anonymous

Background:

Once a peaceful, average size, walking fish, the Lungfish has been mutated, enlarged, and mentally controlled by evil forces.  Now, according to legend, it comes out of the lake at night to eat the brains of unsuspecting children.  This is only partly true.official website

Every summer camp has its horror stories about the local mythical beasts and monsters. Few, however, ever turn out to be so terrifying or true as the tales of the enormous lake beast known as . . . Linda.

Of course, she wasn’t always this way. The Hideous Hulking Lungfish of Lake Oblongata used to be a normal, happy little lungfish. She spent most of her nights hanging out in her little lungfish lair, watching the Lungfish Channel on her lungfish TV. One night, however, she was netted and pulled from the water by a strange-looking character who wore a shower cap and branded a gleaming metal claw where his hand should have been. She was brought to his lab, where she was subjected to numerous mad science experiments, mutated and turned into the monster she is now. Even her little lungfish mind was not left untampered with: she was given a mental antennae to control her mind with, and programmed to kidnap any campers unfortunate enough to be caught wandering alone along the dark shores of Lake Oblongata at night, and deliver them them to her new master.

Mental Morsels:

• Reaching rank 100 will unlock a special cutscene involving Linda, which reveals a few juicy details about her past…
• The MTV2 Sharts video bumps show Linda hanging out around the camp, after the events of Psychonauts.
• Linda was voiced by David Kaye, who also did the voice for Ford Cruller.
Clairvoyance shows that Linda see Raz a be-goggled little lungfish boy. (Though if you get to a point where you can use Clairvoyance on her it means that YOU CHEATED!)
